Hmh, that's somehow a very familiar picture to me. I think I've seen it (or something perhaps inspired by it) in several contexts. What's the story?

Hi Korpinsilmä,

I don't know the artist behind the picture. I found this little time ago from my archives.

This reminds me of M.C. Escher's art and its "impossible" perspectives. Here with this picture we do not have impossible perspectives but something else that is "impossible".

If someone knows who is the artist behind this rock-in-the-air picture, I'd be interested to hear about it.

The artist behind it is René Magritte. Here is the same picture with colors:

Why I know him? He has made that famous "this is not a pipe"-image! :-)

I forgot to mention that the name of this rock-in-the-air image is "The Castle of the Pyrenees" (made in 1959).
